October 13 AutumnI think that this has always been my favourite time of year... the leaves are turning, the air is crisp, the honking geese fly overhead. Even though the leaves are dying and it's the end of the year it makes me feel alive. It reminds me that seasons come and seasons go but life goes on. After an ending there is always a new beginning. Autumn reminds me that with the many changes in our world some things stay the same. The changing of the seasons are constant...the leaves start to change colour here in Sept. and by mid Oct. (Thanksgiving weekend) they are full blown...there are variations on the timing but it always happens...nothing stops it. This is how God created this world because He is constant and never changes. It's at times like this that I need to be reminded of this...so I hold onto this with hope of the new beginning that is coming. I'm not only thinking of my own life but of others I've read in spaces that need changes. For myself after being let go from my job a few months back I've been putting resumes everywhere and hoping for a job soon. I decided to take this opportunity to get back into teaching. I put my name on what they call the emergency supply list. Things have changed alot in the twenty years since I've done this but children never change and I'm looking forward to the challenge. I don't know how much work I'll get but it will be a foot in the door, I hope, to better things.
I hope you are all well. I've really enjoyed looking at everyones' autumn pictures. Even though I don't comment much I'm thinking of you all and try to keep up on all that's going on. I hope my fellow Canadian's had a good Thanksgiving. Comments (1)
